My wife, Kris, and I love to travel and have recently made trips to Mexico, Nova Scotia and Paris, with more adventures planned for the near future. I have a compact watercolor travel kit so, in addition to taking a lot of photography, I can sketch as we go. Watercolor is a great medium for this because you need very little equipment and clean up is so easy. Sketching is an excellent way to learn how to simplify a subject, improve observation skills and perfect brushwork, all of the things that I'm currently working on.
