Hi All, time to catch up on a bit of news! I'm in between events right now, having recently done the Paint Cedarburg event where I was fortunate enough to have won first place in the "Paint the Lake" category with my 11x15 watercolor "Noon Departure" (still available). I also sold a couple of small paintings so, the event went well considering that it rained 4 out of 5 of our paint days but alas, that's plein air painting. The rain did inspire me to purchase a battery-operated blow dryer, I finally found one at a "reasonable" price. Hopefully, that will eliminate some of those hours waiting for paint to dry in wet weather, we'll see. My next excursion will be to Traverse City, Michigan to Paint Grand Traverse. It's a new event for me but, I've heard great things about the beauty of the area and I'm really excited to be going there. An old acquaintance from my illustration days lives there now and has offered to host us so, looking forward to seeing him also.
